Amplifying Student Voices: Conversations on Race, Equity, and Inclusion in Education — Saturday, May 5

Amplifying Student Voices: Conversations on Race, Equity, and Inclusion in Education is a Seed Grant sponsored event on Saturday, May 5 from 11 AM to 3:30 PM. This event is an opportunity for high school youth and undergraduates to plan, organize and contribute to discussions related to race and equity in education.

To apply to be a student speaker:
Members of the student community are invited to speak about their experiences of race and equity in education in our opening and closing segments of this event. Indicate your interest by sending a 2-5 minute video or audio clip to amplifyingstudentvoices@gmail.com  detailing the following: Who you are, Why are you passionate about race and equity in education? One related experience you’ve had, Why are you interested in giving a keynote? And how will your keynote relate to the theme of Race and Equity in Education?

To submit a session proposal:  
High school and undergraduate students are invited to propose sessions about their experiences of race and equity in education for this event. Individual and group submissions welcome! Genres of participation can include art, workshops, panel discussions, performance, and other interactive media presentations. Deadline for session proposals has been extended to April 10. Submit a proposal for a session here.
