Changes in Garfield Staffing

Dear Garfield Students, Families and Community

We are writing to inform you that Ms. Tomisha Price-Brock, Garfield Band Director has resigned her position effective immediately.   

Ms. Brock was hired at the beginning of the year to support our Band program and has decided to leave her position in the middle of the year to take care of some personal obligations.

We have secured a former teacher to substitute and get the students through the semester and are in the process of securing a long-term substitute for the rest of the year.

The permanent Band Director position has been advertised and we are hoping to fill the position for the 2019-20 school year early to support transition and effectively rebuilding the program.
