Flu Shots Coming to Garfield!

Protect yourself, your child, and your community from the flu. Seattle Visiting Nurse Association will offer flu shots at Garfield on Thursday, September 26 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm.  Students/children ages 4 and older, staff, and community members can get the flu shot at Garfield. All SPS insurance is accepted. Most forms of insurance (including Apple Health and Medicaid) and cash or check ($40) are accepted.

A consent form needs to be completely filled out – see Nurse Rebecca or download in English or Spanish. Families who have no insurance can write “No insurance” and the student can still get a flu shot at no charge. A thimerosal-free vaccine is available for pregnant women. The higher-dose version recommended for adults over age 65 is not available at this clinic.

Fore more information see SPS Flu Clinic 2019 or  contact School Nurse Rebecca Dubin at rcdubin@seattleschools.org or 206-252-2277.

Students who would like to get a flu shot at school on another day can register at the Garfield Teen Health Center. All services at the Teen Health Center are free.
