Meet Stephanie Tschida! Healthy Youth CAN Prevention Network Coalition Coordinator

Thank you Stephanie Tschida for sending the eBark the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative Survey to help select prevention programs for strengthening communities and empowering youth in our area!

Stephanie is a veteran GHS parent who had 4 kids going through for a total of 14 years and a long-time Central Area resident and volunteer. She currently coordinates the Healthy Youth CAN (Central Area Network)‘s community coalition to increase healthy youth development by identifying risk factors and providing solutions. At Garfield she works with Danielle Bock on-site with the Bulldog Prevention Squad.

A common problem among parents is being in denial about drug and alcohol use, or feeling like it’s “not my kid.” It is important to be clear and upfront about your expectations and standards at an early age.

Their Board meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4 – 5:30 PM, and students are welcome to attend also. Contact Stephanie at sgtschida@seattleschools.org for more information.
