SPS Immunization Compliance

Seattle Public Schools prioritizes the health and safety of our students. All students must be in compliance with Washington State Immunization laws (RCW 28A.210) to be enrolled in school. “In compliance” means that the student is: a) fully vaccinated; b) in process of getting vaccinated; c) has a lab report that shows immunity to the disease and does not need the vaccine; or d) has a signed Certificate of Exemption for a medical, religious, religious membership or personal reason. Note: as of July 28, 2019, personal exemption is no longer valid for the MMR (measles) vaccine. On December 16, SPS will send out formal exclusion notices for students who are out of compliance. This means that the student will not be able to attend school until the immunization records are in compliance. Don’t let your child miss out! Contact Nurse Rebecca now if you have received information that your child might not be in compliance. For more information regarding immunizations visit here or contact Nurse Rebecca (rcdubin@seattleschools.org, 206-252-2277)

Your student can also visit the Garfield Teen Health Center in Room 102 to ask questions or get information. Thank you for helping to keep our community healthy and safe!
