You are invited! All meetings are open to everyone in the Garfield community. Dates are listed below.
WHAT THEY ARE
All Meetings usually include an update from the Principal, and all who attend are welcome to ask questions or make comments on topics of interest to the school community.
Board meetings also include discussion of ongoing and upcoming activities, new ideas, and the PTSA budget. Board members might vote on one or more matters.
General (Membership) Meetings usually feature a guest speaker on a topic of wide interest to the community and discussion of major PTSA business. PTSA members might be asked to vote on one or more matters. Members approve the annual budget and elect Board Officers in the spring.
Often, a short Board Meeting follows the end of a General Meeting.
