When you donate to the GHS PTSA Annual Fund whether it’s $5 or $5,000 — every Garfield student benefits.
Every day, we see the difference the generosity of this community makes, enabling the Garfield High School Parent Teacher Student Association to support students and the teachers and staff who work with them.
Your contribution creates opportunities that bring learning to life, including inspired teachers, comprehensive academic offerings, vibrant arts programs, and a welcoming space where every student belongs.
- Staffing: $247,000 to prevent cuts of critical FTE teaching positions.
- Academic and College/Career Support: $28,000 with Y-Scholars and College Possible.
- Staff Appreciation: $15,000 teacher and staff morale-building events and activities.
- Library Support: $13,500 for the purchase of hundreds of new books and a Library Assistant.
- Studio Art and Photography Supplies: $9,000 for materials not funded by the District.
- Small Grants: $20,000 for project proposals from teachers, staff and GHS Clubs
- Teacher Support: $350 stipend for each teacher to use for supplies or classroom support.
- Grad Night Party: A safe and sober celebration for all seniors; ensuring a fun time is had by all and that money isn’t a barrier for participation. Learn more!
- Athletic Trainer: $2,000 medical support to keep every Bulldog athlete safe and healthy.
- Student Mentorship and Recognition: $9,500 for programs and activities that build student connections, confidence, morale and school spirit.

Seattle Public Schools continues to face deep budget challenges. Enrollment is down district-wide and funding per student is shrinking.
