CALL for ART: Monthly jazz JAM session posters

Feature your b/w art on FLYERS and a POSTER for the 2026/27
Central Cinema JAZZ JAM season!

NINE designs will be chosen, each advertising a monthly jam session. Final nine designs will be combined into a formal poster.

Guidelines:
– SQUARE FORMAT – final art should be printable as an 8″x8″ square at 300dpi (2400 x 2400 pixels)
– BLACK AND WHITE – think energetic, high-contrast design or photography
– INCLUDE the work “JAM” in handwriting, or as a font
– Traditional art or digital or photography or a combination – NO AI

Inspiration:
– music, jazz, blues, bebop, instrument or instruments, musicians, stage, spotlight, abstract rhythms, photos, font treatments
– JAM – what might a jar of music jam look like?
– extra credit: feature instruments or artists for a certain month

SUBMISSION: Send a simple, digital file or digital photo of your submission to: arts@garfieldptsa.org
You will need to use a NON-SPS email address. If you have problems, ask a teacher to help forward your art.

We are looking for imaginative concepts and imagery with the potential to create a strong, attractive design. A professional designer will adapt chosen work for use in the poster and programs. You can be as involved in this process as you wish!

The winning entry or entries will receive: 
– Written credit on flyers and posters
– Copies of printed and digital materials for portfolio use
– $40 honorarium per chosen design
