School Board District VII Candidate Forum – September 11

At a public meeting on Wednesday, August 21, the Seattle School Board selected three finalist candidates for the District VII School Board Director position.

Brandon Hersey, Emijah Smith, and Julie van Arcken will proceed in the appointment process for the school board seat that represents Southeast Seattle. 

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, there will be a second School Board District VII Candidate Forum at the Rainier Beach High School Performing Arts Center (8815 Seward Park Ave S Seattle, WA 98118) from 6 – 9 p.m. During this forum, the three finalists will be invited to answer questions from the community.

Questions will be accepted through an online form from September 10 at 8 a.m. through September 11 at 8 a.m. Questions will also be accepted in person from 6 to 6:10 p.m. on September 11 at the forum.
