PTSA ANNUAL General Meeting • In person and over ZOOM • 6pm social time, 6:30 start. All Welcome! A short board meeting will follow the general meeting.
Although the last day in 2026 is a Wednesday, the dismissal time will be 2:40 pm.
If makeup days are needed, this will *not* be a school day.
Join fellow parents and guardians to toast the new school year with coffee and breakfast pastries while the Garfield Drumline performs their traditional first day welcome! Meet under the flagpoles in front of the school. See you there!
Picture day at Garfield is scheduled for Friday, September 4th
If the school year is delayed – picture day will be rescheduled, and the new date will be communicated. The ordering process will remain the same:

Our first meeting is on the third Tuesday of September to give everyone a little extra breathing room during the start-of-school chaos.
This meeting will be hybrid, with the option to join in person or via Zoom. It will be a nice opportunity for the larger group to reconnect and get to know one another. We look forward to seeing you there!

Donate Food for the Back-To- School GHS Teacher & Staff Breakfast
Every month, typically the First Friday, Garfield families donate a bounty of breakfast foods, baked goods, and fruit, making this monthly tradition a much anticipated event. First Friday Breakfasts are a time for teachers and staff to connect over food and coffee in the relaxed setting of Room 302 aka Ms. West’s art room!
We rely on the generosity of families to provide delicious and varied foods…please take a look to see what you can bring for the Back-To-School Friday Breakfast. If you don’t have time to bake, financial contributions are welcome.
