Students roll in 2025 area business competition
Twenty-nine Garfield students recently competed in the 2025 Washington DECA Area Career Development Conference (ACDC) for this part of the state. Washington DECA has a mission to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
Nineteen of them were winners in their respective category and received medals for their achievements, said Teacher Lambert Ellis, the adviser for the Garfield DECA chapter. The top 12 participants in each category will advance to the State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in late February.
