Students in Grade 12 with 504 plan or IEP: The College Board (creator of the SAT) requires requests for accommodations on the Oct. 11, 2023, SAT to be filed by this day (Aug. 22, 2023).

  • Oct. 11 is when seniors at Garfield take the free, in-school administration of this college entrance exam.

Black College Expo @ Rainier Beach High School

Seattle Public Schools is hosting a Black College Expo organized by National College Resources Foundation! Seniors, juniors, and college transfer students can meet one-on-one with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), other colleges, universities and educational programs. Juniors and seniors can bring transcripts and potentially be accepted by colleges ON THE SPOT!
