Community Event: Parent University — Saturday, April 27

Parent University is a half-day event featuring insights from experts in the field of childhood and adolescent development. This year’s keynote speaker is New York Times best-selling author Julie Lythcott-Haims who will talk about her book, How to Raise an Adult. The closing speaker will be Dr. John Medina, author of the Brain Rules series.

In between there will be a choice of sessions covering a range of parenting topics: friendships, sexuality & consent, learning differences, race in America, managing anxiety, experiencing grief, kids & technology and a Gottman-trained therapist who will talk about parental well-being.

This community event offers learning for parents and guardians of K-12 students. Childcare is available for kindergarten- 5th grade children only. Space is limited, so reserve your childcare spot during registration.

Cost: $30. Attendance includes a light breakfast and a boxed lunch
