Cross Country Runners get Faster

The cross-country team qualified three Bulldog seniors to the WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Pasco recently.

On a muddy and slippery 5-kilometer course, all three surpassed their rankings and last year’s finishing places. Phoebe Bryan placed 46th; Colten Ladd finished 58th; and Aaron Johnson finished 89th, even after taking a hard fall.

These runners plus six others — Flora Vall-Spinosa (Gr12), Ava Stewart (Gr10), Simone Vanderwarker (Gr10), Sanne Balkenende (Gr10), Joshua Miovic (Gr10), and Matteo Manzin (Gr12) — will compete at the Nike Cross Regional championships in Idaho on Saturday (Nov. 11).
