Gates Scholarship Workshop @ GHS — Wednesday, Sept. 12
Garfield will host a workshop specifically for seniors to work on the Gates Scholarship!
Host: Garfield College Network (GCN)
Where: GHS Library Computer Lab
When: Wednesday, Sept. 12
Time: 2:3 0- 4:30 PM
Who’s Invited: GHS Seniors, Running Start Seniors
Volunteers Needed: 2-3 (in addition to GCN)
The Gates Scholarship is an ALL EXPENSES PAID scholarship awarded to 300 students around the country!
The following are the eligibility requirements:
- A high school senior
- from at least one of the following ethnicities: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
- Pell-eligible
- A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
- A minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
- Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
