TalkingPoints Messaging App

TalkingPoints is a district-approved text messaging app. This is an exciting new tool because many families can receive and respond to texts easily. The app supports more than 100 languages, which allows GHS nurses to communicate with families in their home language. Parents/guardians can download the app to customize their language preference. However, you don’t need to download the app to receive messages or respond to them. 

The app allows GHS nurses to send a text message announcement to all Garfield families at once or to send individual texts as needed. If you reply to an announcement, it will only go to the nurse, not the whole school. If you want to opt out, simply reply STOP or GOODBYE to the text you received.
