Open PTSA Positions for 2021-22

The Garfield Community PTSA is recruiting for next school year! Work with a great group of parents and make a contribution! Can you help with?:

Building Leadership Team (BLT) co-Representative: This person would join the current BLT representative in attending BLT meetings, working alongside the school administration and teachers to identify priorities and allocate funding, and reporting back to the PTSA Board at Board meetings.

Grad Night Chair(s): This person(s) coordinates the annual post-graduation party for seniors using a Seattle-based party planning group.

Spring Fundraiser Chair(s): Every year the PTSA produces a community fundraiser in the spring where we raise a large portion of our annual budget. It’s a great opportunity to come together and celebrate our students and the school and give however we can. The Spring Fundraiser Chair(s) work with a team of volunteers to help coordinate all the aspects of the event.

Family Support Chair: This person works with school administration staff and the PTSA Treasurer to provide support for students and families in need.

9th and 11th/12th Grade Class Reps: Class Representatives serve as a liaison between families and PTSA Board. The 9th Grade Reps assist in planning a 9th Grade welcome event in the fall and the 11th/12th Grade Reps assist in planning Senior Awards Night and Grad Night along with the Grad Night Chair.
