Third Garfield Student Wins the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

Congratulations to Garfield senior Daniel Alemayehu on being awarded a 2023 Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship! Daniel will receive $40,000 over four years to pursue a degree in computer science or engineering and a paid internship after his freshman year to gain practical work experience with mentorship from Amazon leaders. He is the third Garfield senior to receive this award, joining classmates Vicente Anyaegbu and Chelsea (Hai Yi) Li.
