Winter Sports Registration Forms Now Due Thursday, Nov. 9

Winter Sports Athletes! Athletic Paperwork is now available for download online on the Garfield High School website. Don’t miss out on tryouts and practices by purchasing ASB and turning in your paperwork to the Athletic Secretary in the Garfield main office.

ATHLETIC FORMS/PAPERWORK DEADLINE: Completed Athletic Registration packets for Winter Sports are due by Wednesday, Nov. 8 Thursday, Nov. 9.

Physical Exams are valid for 24 months from the “exam date.”

If you participated in a fall sport, you only need to  submit the signed single-page Parent/Guardian Release and Safety Guideline form for your specific Winter sport. 

Students who are new to Seattle Public Schools this year — please submit a copy of your June  2017 report card and/or your most recent transcript from your former school which includes June 2017 final grades, with your sport registration form. 

TRYOUTS: Tryouts and practices begin on Monday, Nov. 13 for Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Swimming and Co-ed Wrestling. Girls Gymnastics will not be offered this year. The final date to try out for the girls and boys basketball team is TBD. The final date to join the wrestling and boys swim team is TBD.

Book fines and unpaid fees should be paid in full (cash only) and cleared prior to tryouts. 

The Seattle School District is not charging Pay to Play fees this academic year. A one-time annual ASB activity fee ($50) is required for all members of athletic teams and clubs. Payment by cash, money order or bank cashier check will only be accepted.
