6-12 Virtual Option Pilot Program – Apply by Oct 25

Seattle Public Schools is excited to extend our current Virtual Option Pilot Program (VOPP) to include middle and high school (6-12) students and continue to build on the virtual innovations from the previous school year.

Courses will be taught by Washington State certificated teachers using Edgenuity Instructional Services. SPS and Edgenuity will also partner to provide Special Education and 504 accommodations to students who currently receive those services. All students who opt into the 6-12 VOPP will remain enrolled in SPS, but they will be reassigned to the 6-12 VOPP @ Cascade Parent Partnership (CPP).

Enrollment is open to any SPS student, but space is currently limited to 300. Priority will be given to those who formally expressed interest in our virtual learning option through the SPS interest form made available during the summer. In addition, we will prioritize students with a documented underlying condition that increases their risk for severe illness from COVID-19, students who live in a household where someone in the household is at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, students who have a mental health issue or other condition, and/or students who experienced an increased sense of safety during remote learning. Students must commit to staying in the program through the end of the 2021-22 school year.

If you are interested, please fill out the enrollment application form and sign up by October 25 at 5 p.m.
