Team Read Hiring Students
Team Read is hiring 9th- to 11th-graders to be second semester after-school reading coaches 2 days a week at Bailey Gatzert Elementary and other sites. Application deadline is Dec. 18.
The coaches are paired with growing readers in Grades 2-4 for literacy games and other ways to work on reading fluency and comprehension.
Time commitment: in-person for 80 minutes, two afternoons each week on Mondays 4:25-5:45 and Wednesdays 2:55-4:15. (There is no coaching during Seattle Public Schools holidays & breaks.) The commitment is February – May.
Pay: $18.69/hr or service learning hours, including training to be an effective literacy tutor
Graduation Credit: Earn up to 1.0 high school CTE credit toward graduation for hours worked
