Apply for Free and Reduced Price Meals Program

Did you know that free meals will be available to all students for the upcoming 2021-22 school year?

But even though meals are free, it’s still important that eligible families apply for the Free and Reduced Price Meals (FRPM) program.

Each school year, Seattle Public Schools (SPS) always encourages all eligible families to submit a new application for the program because it can lead to other free and reduced district programs for students.

For example, device distribution (laptops, IPads) for all students requires a $25 usage fee. But that fee could be waived for some students eligible for the FRPM program.

In addition, FRPM-approved students may be eligible to receive reduced fees for these programs:

  • Event fees
  • Field trips
  • Advanced Placement tests
  • Running Start books
  • ASB Fees
  • Pre-college exams
  • College application fees
