9th Grade students meet individually with community volunteers to review course grades and future goals. Organized by the 100 Black Parents Group.
Special guest Norilyn de la Pena, Tobacco Cessation Specialist from Seattle/King County Public Health, will discuss the latest on vaping, opioids, and fentanyl. Thanks to Healthy Youth CAN, a program designed to increase community strengths through prevention and intervention strategies that support youth in making healthy life choices, for providing this important information to the Garfield community.
Members of the Garfield community are invited to join PTSA board members on Tuesday, December 3rd, 5:30-8 PM, at nearby Feed Co. Burgers, where we will be talking about upcoming events at Garfield and ways to get involved. Stop by and join us! We’ll answer your questions over delicious food and drinks.
