Congratulations Garfield Thespians!

This past weekend 50 Garfield Thespians participated in the Washington State Thespian Festival where 56 schools and over 1500 students participated.

The following students were national qualifiers with the opportunity to compete at the International Thespian Festival this summer: Elam G. for Lighting Design, Morgan G. T. for Monologues, and Julia H. for stage management. Elam and Julia also took top honors in the state for their respective fields! Director Lily M., actors Olivia G., Rebecca S., and Georgia S. received a double excellent award for the one-act play “Poor Shem.”

The Garfield Thespians also received a Silver Honor Troupe award for their work at school and in the community. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the festival!
