Family Support for GHS Students – two ways to help:
Ms. Porcia, who sits in main office at Garfield, is the GHS “family support” person, Admin Secretary and Bulldog welcoming committee. Although Ms. Porcia utilizes many existing services and programs to provide students and their families with relief and support, the current economy and federal cuts mean a lot more people need additional support.
The GHS PTSA invites you, in partnership with Ms. Porcia and the Garfield Golden Grads, to help relieve some financial burden for GHS students and families, especially during the holidays in one of two ways:
- Give directly: at the Garfield Golden Grads PayPal: 100% of your donation goes to GHS students. For more information, visit https://garfieldgoldengrads.com/donations/
- Gift Cards – While giving thru the GGG is an excellent and easy way to give BIG, you can also purchase gift cards and drop them to Ms. Porcia in the GHS main office. PLEASE only purchase gift cards for stores and in dollar amounts as listed!
Groceries:
- Safeway: increments of $50 or $100
- Amazon: increments of $50 or $100
Easy meals:
- Ezelle’s: increments of $15
- McDonalds: increments of $15
- Subway: increments of $15
For more info about the Garfield Golden Grads…they are made up of many, long dedicated Garfield High School Alum, including current President Henry Brashen class of 1964, who provide support for so many programs and students at GHS, lifting up hundreds of Bulldogs every year! - GHS Family Support/Student Assistance – Working closely with Ms. Porcia, the GGG has provided thousands of dollars every year to cover food, clothing, personal hygiene supplies and more.
