Girls Rock Math Seeking Summer Intern-Counselors

Girls Rock Math (GRM) is a non-profit offering STEAM summer camps. Their mission is to provide thought-provoking, creative experiences in math, empowering girls to develop confidence in their skills, and a life-long interest in mathematics. Intern-Counselors are a very important part of the GRM program – they wear a staff shirt and name badge. They attend Staff Meetings with Counselors-in-Training (CITs), teachers, and the Site Director. Intern-Counselors work with teachers to ensure campers are having an enriching summer experience. Throughout the week, they work with mentors to guide them in leading, collaborating, and planning activities for campers. They reflect on their experience with other Intern-Counselors as well as their college-aged mentors. Reflection coupled with hands-on experience builds great leadership skills all while having fun and earning service hours. (One week of camp plus training is 40 hours of community service.)

Any female-identifying students who would be interested in being a part of this summer’s Intern-Counselor program can apply at:  https://www.girlsrockmathematics.com/counselors.
