Golf Paid Internship – Apply by April 10

Would you like to work at one of the best golf clubs in the area, alongside the professional staff?

Three prestigious local golf clubs are looking to hire one First Tee member, age 16-18, for a special, paid internship this summer. The “FREDDY” internship, named after local golf professional Sean Frederickson, is a paid position and is designed to gain hands-on experience working in all aspects of the golf industry, and alongside some of the area’s most well-respected professionals.

Applications due Sunday, April 10th

Never been around a private club? That’s ok! This is actually for you. The professionals are inspired by the idea of introducing a young person to the golf business. And the members of these clubs are in full support! Clubs: Seattle Golf Club, Broadmore Golf Club, The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge.

Management at these facilities feel that First Tee participants are uniquely qualified in terms of both golf knowledge and character, and so we are very proud to have this opportunity to share with you, and in memory of a beloved local golf professional, Sean Fredrickson.

Please review the details below and reply to this email (information@thefirstteeseattle.org) with your resume and a brief cover letter by April 10th.

  •  Include why you are interested in the position, what you hope to learn, and what your general availability is between June and August.
  • We will provide any necessary feedback and suggestions, and then share submissions with the Head Golf Professional at each club.
  • Late April: the Head Golf Professional will select 3-5 candidates and invite for an interview.
  • Early May: the Head Golf Professional will make the hire!
  • This internship is paid hourly at approximately $15/hr.
  • In addition to selecting a FREDDY intern, facilities may also be hiring for other entry level positions, so it’s possible more than one person will be hired.
