New Parent/Caregiver social on Sept. 5

Are you a parent or caregiver who is new to Garfield?

Come together for a meetup 6:30-8:30 pm, Thursday, Sept. 5, at Standard Brewing, 2504 S. Jackson St. Chat about our kids, school, whatever. Make some new friends and build community!

Food and beverages available for purchase. This PTSA-organized event is aimed mostly at Grade 9 families and others new to the school; other grade-level socials are coming up.

And, consider:

• Learn about volunteer opportunities at school and with organizations such as the PTSA.
• Hear Dr. Hart at first PTSA Meeting of the year: Tuesday, Sept. 17.
• Subscribe to the PTSA calendar and watch for more events, including socials for other grade levels starting in October.
