Apply for Amazon Future Engineer scholarship
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program will award 400 high school seniors up to $40,000 each toward college expenses, paired with opportunities to intern at Amazon.
The 2024 application deadline is Friday, Dec. 19.
Two info nights are available. One was at Garfield 5-8 pm, Thursday, Nov. 14, and the other is at the University of Washington Ethnic Cultural Center on 5-8 pm, Thursday, Dec. 13.
The application requirements include a teacher recommendation, transcript and family tax return. Students are eligible if they are seniors who:
- are planning to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or other computer-science-related field of study AND are planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States (OR an accredited 2-year college, with the intent to transfer to a 4-year institution).
- show interest by taking computer science or engineering classes in high school or at a college dual program, OR take a qualifying exam offered by Amazon.
- have notable need for financial assistance.
- have a GPA of 2.3 or above.
- are work-eligible in the United States for at least two years.
