GHS/SPS

UPDATED: Paid Virtual Parent Focus Group

Updated 2/23/21:  Focus groups will be conducted in five additional languages: Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Amharic, and Somali. These groups will happen in the first week of March. See flyers attached.

The SPS Prevention and Intervention Department works to enhance student learning and well-being through the delivery of comprehensive prevention programming, with a focus on reducing substance abuse and other risky behaviors.

They are conducting paid virtual focus groups with parents/guardians to learn more about safe home environments and strategies to limit youth access to substances (such as alcohol, vapes, medication, marijuana). Locking up substances in our homes is important especially now when kids are spending so much time at home and the growing concerns about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on substance use, mental health, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts.

The discussion will last one hour, and participants will be provided a $50 gift card for their time.
