Post 84 Desert School

“Desert School” is back, for both 9th- and 10th-graders! On this 4-day, 3-night trip students will hike, kayak, swim, rock climb, stargaze, make friendship bracelets, learn about geology and have so much more fun. The excursion to cabins at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park near Ephrata is organized by Post 84, a student-led outdoor education program. 

Desert School is a longtime Garfield freshman tradition that was interrupted by the pandemic. This year it is offered May 28-31 for 9th-graders and June 1-4 for 10th-graders. Standard price is $315, but families are to pay what they can, no questions asked. Registration deadline: May 18.
