POST 84 – Fall Survival

Fall Survival is a three-day outdoor adventure where students get to learn survival camping skills such as building fires, shelters, knot tying, and first aid. No previous camping or backpacking experience is required. This trip is run by POST 84, a student-led outdoor education program at Garfield HS. POST 84 runs a number of outdoor trips during the school year like Lopez and Desert School.

This trip is a great way for students to meet other underclassmen and upperclassmen, make new friends, challenge themselves, and learn valuable outdoor skills.

Forms will be coming out this week. Look out for student staff members in the hallways on Friday 11/15 passing out forms. Forms will also be available on post84.org

POST has a gear inventory for students to borrow gear from. You can indicate on the form if you will need to borrow any gear. POST also offers scholarships- up to 100% of the cost.

More information about a pre-trip meeting will be coming out later.

This trip is Friday 12/13 (leave in the morning) – Sunday 12/15.

If you have any questions, please contact Trip Lead Sara Javkhlan at survival@post84.org or text 206-678-4495.
