Seattle Youth Court Recruiting for Fall 2020
Seattle Youth Court is recruiting for Fall 2020, and the first training is September 14. Youth Courts are established by judges to involve trained high school students in adjudicating minor offenses by peers. Garfield High School students serve as jurors, judges, attorneys, and bailiffs during real court hearings. All meetings are temporarily on Zoom due to COVID-19 precautions. Community service hours are awarded for meeting times.
