Garfield at International Business Conference
Business/Marketing Teacher Lambert Ellis reports that Garfield students had an amazing time in late April at DECA 2024 ICDC – International Career Development Conference.
Five Garfield students competed to demonstrate career-related knowledge, and five attended seminars and Emerging Leader series.
“Garfield made it to the finals and brought home one medal for the top-20 finalist in the category, Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling,” Mr. Ellis said. “Please congratulate Vivian Geri for making it to the finals and for her sterling performance.”
The students who competed were among the best in the USA, Canada, China, and many other countries. Mr. Ellis is hoping to encourage even more students to be involved with DECA at Garfield, and DECA events and conferences.
