Washington Aerospace Scholars – Applications Open Now!
Washington Aerospace Scholars is a two-part program for high school sophomores and juniors focused on the history and future exploration of space and topics in Earth and Space Science.
PHASE ONE
Online distance learning course designed in partnership with NASA and the University of Washington, which provides scholars the opportunity to earn five UW college credits.
PHASE TWO
A multi-day residency experience where scholars work with STEM professionals, NASA scientists, university students, and STEM educators to plan a realistic space mission.
In addition to the course, WAS provides interaction with STEM industry professionals, hands-on engineering activities, and a national alumni network. WAS alumni are also provided exclusive opportunities for internships and college scholarships.
