People’s Pop-Up Pantry

If you are a Central District family whose Pandemic-EBT benefits have just been reduced, People’s Pop-Up Pantry is a great resource to keep in mind. PPUP is a weekly, neighborhood pop-up offering FREE, fresh produce, canned goods, dairy, and frozen meats to anyone who needs it. The pantry is available every Tuesday, 2-3pm, outside the Garfield Community Center. Many families arrive by 1pm to get a number and secure a place in line. Most of the food is gone by 2:45, but the pantry stays open until 3pm or until everything is gone.
