CTE Field Trip

Last week, two dozen Garfield students took a Career & Technical Education field trip to Portland State University to learn about opportunities with the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP).

LSAMP provides academic support and specialized advising for students from historically underrepresented groups who wish to enter non-medical STEM professions. LSAMP is at five institutions in the Pacific Northwest: Boise State University, Oregon State university, Portland State University, Washington State University, and University of Washington.
