Reclaiming the Village Summit 11 – November 8
This summit centers Black students and families and welcomes our Garfield community to listen, learn, and act together.
The follow-up summit will focus on student mental health and elevating student voices, hearing directly from students about what they need to thrive.
THE SUMMIT INCLUDES
- Student panel discussion led by Garfield’s Black Student
Association - Featured session with Dr. Steven Akuffo: Reclaiming the Afrikan Mind – Cultural Identity, Mental Health, and Community Healing
- An opportunity for students and families to connect with community-based organizations that support Garfield students and learn about available programs and services.
- Lunch will be provided
