Back to School with The Seattle Public Library and the Oct. 23 Dreamathon

The Seattle Public Library is here for you! All 27 SPL locations are now open and our children and teen librarians would love to see your family. See www.spl.org/Hours for the schedule of the branch nearest you. In addition, here are a few library programs and services of interest to your community.

Free tutoring: The Library offers free online tutoring for children through grade 12 seven days a week. Your child can get one-on-one help with math, science, writing, history, SAT test prep, college applications and much more. Tutoring is offered in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Access it at www.spl.org/VirtualTutoring. You’ll just need a Library card and pin.

Library Link: You don’t need a Library card for digital Library resources such as tutor.com or e-books – all Seattle Public Schools students get instant access through the Library Link program. Go to www.spl.org/LibraryLink to connect. Library staff members can help you with any questions. Just call 206-386-4636 or go to www.spl.org/Ask.

Virtual Dreamathon event on Oct. 23: This all-ages community celebration is one of SPL’s biggest fall events, aimed at helping us all develop our pandemic toolkit for fall and winter. With speakers such as Dr. Ben Danielson and Black Panther Aaron Dixon, who worked with local kids to develop a program for community well-being, this program will connect and inspire.
