Join Pele & Michael Bennett for the Girls Empowerment Summit on Saturday, June 16 in Garfield’s Quincy Jones Auditorium from 10 AM – 3 PM. Free entry with lunch provided!
The Girls Empowerment Summit will inspire high school girls to break through barriers of sexism and conquer inequities — both personally and collectively. This program has been designed to engage high-school-aged, female-identified youth in interactive workshop activities and a panel discussion to highlight activism for equity, building healthy relationships, and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) fields. The closing plenary will be hosted by Cari Champion, and feature: Patrisse Cullors, Jami DeBrango, Linda Sarsour and Maya Wiley. This is a free event for high school girls.
