Bulldog Spirit at First Bark’n’Bites Event

Thank you to all who attended the PTSA’s first Bark’n’Bites Parent/Caregiver/Alumni gathering on Saturday, Jan. 20.

We had a great turnout. People enjoyed baked treats and refreshments, as well as the surprisingly party-friendly environment of the first floor lobby of the Garfield Gym. Some highlights included:

  • Inspiring performances by the GHS Athletic Band, Bulldog Drumline and GHS Cheerleaders.
  • Victories by the Varsity basketball teams, including a payback win by the girls over Lakeside, which is the only Metro League opponent to beat Garfield this season.
  • Guest appearance by Henry Brashen, President of the Garfield Golden Grads. GGG is open to membership by grads of *any* class year. (In fact, any type of Garfield supporter can join.) Learn more or sign up now!
  • Purple-and-white frosting on those delicious home-made cupcakes.

Look for more Bark’n’Bites events in the future. The PTSA will post information through social media, eBark newsletter, etc. Here’s how to subscribe to eBark.
