What do we do at Band Camp?
Band camp is for all students in the band and drumline program. Students will learn about the Garfield Band Program, participate in student-led activities, receive sheet music to practice for start of school, and get to know the band! This is a low-pressure opportunity for our students to get back into playing their instruments, begin to prepare for start of year performances. It is an important opportunity for 9th grade students to get to know the school facilities and build a community of trusted students.

Families with rising 9th graders are invited to mark their calendars for Garfield High School’s Welcome to Garfield Open House on Wednesday, August 26, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the Quincy Jones Auditorium.
This event is an opportunity for students who are new to Garfield to meet administrator and staff; hear what we are excited about for the coming school year; and get a chance to tour the building.
We look forward to welcoming our newest Bulldogs to Garfield!
