The Board Members of the Garfield Community PTSA invite you to our First General Meeting of 2018:
Thursday, March 1 2018, 6 – 8 PM in the Garfield Commons
Join Other Parents, Families and Caregivers from the Garfield High School Community
Not only will you will enjoy good food & conversation but we’ll have:
Teacher Updates! Several teachers from a range of subject areas will be offering their reflections on how the school year is going so far and some challenges and successes of their classrooms.
PTSA Budget Changes! We are excited to share more about our work that we launched at the start of the year to expand our membership and partnerships to better weave us together as “One Garfield.” We have proposed some changes to the budget to meet our school partnership goals and will be voting on these changes.
Purple & White Celebration and Other Spring Events! Get Revved up for our Annual Purple & White Celebration Fundraiser (March 31 @ Washington Hall) and hear more ways to get involved and make it a success at all levels. Also news on this year’s Grad Night and ways to get involved as a volunteer.
At the start of this 2017-18 school year, the Garfield PTSA invited the whole community to join us in our continued efforts to make sure every student at Garfield has access to excellent educational opportunities and that this organization better represents our diverse community of students and families. Our methods have focused on partnerships, collaboration and the slow & steady work of building trust and relationships.
