CONGRATULATIONS GHS National Merit Semifinalists!

Congratulations GHS’s National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!: Nathaniel R., Kathleen S., Brian S., Nigel V.

The state’s semifinalists had the highest scores on the 2016 PSAT, which 1.6 million juniors took this past year. Each state’s number of semifinalists is proportional to the state’s percentage of the graduating seniors from across the nation.

To become a finalist, students must submit a detailed scholarship application that includes academic transcripts, an essay and a letter of recommendation. About 90 percent of semifinalists advance to the finalist level. About half the finalists win a National Merit Scholarship.
