Parents/guardians: Come to Curriculum Night Oct. 12
Curriculum Night is in person at Garfield on Thursday, Oct. 12, 6:30-8:35 pm.
This is an opportunity to hear from school administrators and visit your student’s classrooms to meet each teacher and enjoy a brief (10-minute) presentation. See schedule below.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- Before arriving on Thursday, parents/guardians should get their student’s schedule from The Source or from your student. (Directions for setting up and logging into The Source are available on the SPS website.)
- Part of the fun is navigating the confusing hallways of the main building. Maps will be handed out.
- Teachers are required to attend a closing staff meeting, so there will be a firm stop time.
- Parents/guardians who cannot make this date, or who need to discuss specific issues with teachers can schedule appointments or calls. Teachers usually provide preferred contact info on the course overviews given to students in September, and their email addresses are on the GHS website.

Introduction in Quincy Jones Center: 6:30 – 6:50 pm
1st Period: 6:55 – 7:05 pm
2nd Period: 7:10 – 7:20 pm
3rd Period: 7:25 – 7:35 pm
4th Period: 7:40 – 7:50 pm
5th Period: 7:55 – 8:05 pm
6th Period: 8:10 – 8:20 pm
Advisory: 8:25 – 8:35 pm
Parents/guardians, please depart after the Advisory session!
Staff Meeting: 8:45 pm (For faculty and staff ONLY)
