Free Spring Break Sailing Opportunities with Seattle Skills Center
The Seattle Skills Center is offering two spring break opportunities – application deadline is extended to this Friday, April 7!
The first Spring Break experience is a collaboration with Sound Experience, a two-day interactive virtual experience and in-person sail aboard the historic schooner, Adventuress. Students that participate in this two day experience will receive priority consideration for this summer’s two week Sailing into Summer course (June 21st – July 2nd)! Students that get chosen for this two week summer course will spend the first week, in-person, aboard the Adventuress and the second week, small boat sailing down at The Center for Wooden Boats.
The second Spring Break opportunity is a weeklong in-person experience at The Center for Wooden Boats. Students will start the day with an on-land lesson and demonstration. Then students will prepare to go out on the water by setting up the boats and sails. Everyone will launch their boats and return to the sailing center together!
Both opportunities are completely FREE!
