Golden Grads Scholarship: Apply Now!
Every year, the Garfield Golden Grads alumni organization awards scholarships to graduating seniors. The 2024 scholarship application is now available online.
The Garfield Golden Grads Scholarships were founded in 1992 by member of the Class of 1954. In past cycles, GGG has awarded 40+ scholarships, ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 each.
Applications will be accepted until 5 pm April 1, 2024, OR until 65 seniors have submitted them. DON’T DELAY!

Who Can Apply
The Golden Grads are looking for leaders who are:
- Garfield Seniors (graduating in June 2024)
- Attending a 2-year college, or
- Attending a 4-year university, or
- Attending a trade/vocational school
Other Criteria:
- No GPA requirement (but must submit transcript)
- No income restrictions
- Demonstrate leadership in school & community
- Has overcome hardship (in addition to the pandemic)
- Love for Garfield!
How it works
This is a first-come-first-accepted application process with the following steps:
- Complete the GGG Application online, including upload of an unofficial transcript and recommendation letters
- Check your personal email to find out if you were selected for an interview
- Complete an in-person interview with GGG panel at Garfield (Appointments will be available 9 am – 4 pm on April 22-26 & 29, by invitation only)
- Check your personal email to see if you won a scholarship
- Attend a mandatory Scholarship Lunch at Garfield to receive your award
Completed applications (with all attachments) will be accepted until one of the following occurs:
- 5 pm, Monday, April 1, deadline
OR - 65 applications have been turned in
Important to know
- Each application will be time-stamped; you can go back to your application to edit your responses (if needed) until 5 pm on April 1.
- Each application will be connected to your school email, so make sure you check both your school and personal email.
