Great volunteering options with PTSA
PTSA involvement strengthens the school and benefits the entire GHS community. In 2024-25, the PTSA has a great core of leaders but also offers many flexible opportunities for volunteers. Read on!
(In addition to options below, you’ll be able to choose onetime in-school opportunities such as helping with monthly staff breakfasts, proctoring standardized tests and chaperoning dances. Watch eBark newsletter and social media for details.)

- Communications
- eBark newsletter Co-Editor (or occasional contributor)
- Graphic Design Chair
- Technology Chair
- Advocacy
- Advocacy Co-Chairs – work within the school and outward to the school district, elected officials and the greater community.
- Race and Equity Chair – focused advocacy
- Academics and Special Education Chair – focused advocacy
- Safety Chair – focused advocacy
- Family Support – communication between school and PTSA regarding what the school needs for students in need (food, clothing, etc.)
- Fundraising
- Annual Fund Co-Chair – plans and executes the Annual Fund Campaign
- Spring Fundraiser Committee Member – helps plan and execute the annual in-person PTSA fundraising event for the school

- Events Chair
- Grad Night Co-Chair – plan the safe and sober Grad Night
- Open Houses Chair – plan school open houses in the Fall and Spring
- Finance
- Finance and Audit Chair – works with the Co-Treasurers
