March 5 Deadline for Roosevelt-Garfield ‘Connections’

Bulldogs in Grades 9-11 are invited to apply by March 5 for “Connections,” a new free program that brings together students of diverse backgrounds for fun learning experiences. Students from Garfield and Roosevelt High Schools will discover common ground, learn valuable life skills, expand personal networks, earn service hours and receive a certification to give a boost to college applications.

Sessions at Garfield are 4-5:30 Tuesdays, starting March 7.

The program is a partnership of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle and Roosevelt Alumni for Racial Equity (a multi-ethnic group of Roosevelt HS alumni formed in 2020 to discuss racism in America and in Seattle).

For more info, see application or flier, or send an email.  Note that the original deadline and program (part 1) dates have been moved back to the dates mentioned above.)
