Meet Ms. Lynch, Activity Coordinator and Athletic Director

In celebration of Black History Month, the Garfield PTSA reached out to Garfield’s awesome Black and African American teachers and staff with a few questions – e.g. favorite part of your job, what do you like to do for fun, and reflections on Black History Month.

How long have you been at Garfield? In what role(s)? 

I’ve been at Garfield for 3 ½ years as the Activity Coordinator/Athletic Director

Favorite part of your job? 

Working with all the students, especially ASB and cheering on and supporting Student Athletes and the Coaches!  Oh and also wearing the badge of honor as Garfield’s Athletic Director!

What do you like to do for fun? 

Baking and Watching the Huskies and Seahawks football teams!  Doing things with my Alaskan Malamute (pictured) and I bleed Purple!

Any reflections you would like to share about Black History Month?  

There shouldn’t be one month dedicated to Black History because it should be part of History all the time!
